Privacy policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
Burb Studio (“Burb”, “we”) is an independent creative studio based in Lagos, Nigeria. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, who handles it on our behalf, and the choices you have. It applies to burbstudio.com and is written with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the UK and EU GDPR in mind.
What we collect
- When you contact us. The contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your company, phone number, and a message about your project. We only receive what you choose to send.
- When you book a call. Our scheduling page embeds Calendly. Anything you enter there — your name, email, and the time you pick — is collected by Calendly and shared with us so we can hold the meeting.
- When you browse. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify you; we see aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, country and device type.
We don't run advertising trackers, sell personal information, or build profiles of visitors.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, discuss and deliver a project, arrange meetings, and understand which parts of the site are useful. Our legal basis is your consent when you send a message or book a call, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio's website.
Who processes it for us
We rely on a small number of service providers, each of which handles your information only to provide its service to us:
- Vercel — hosts this website and provides the analytics.
- Formspark — receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to our inbox.
- Calendly — runs meeting bookings.
- Cloudflare — stores and delivers the site's images and video.
Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on their published safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we are talking with you and, if we work together, for the length of the project and any period the law requires us to keep business records. Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted within 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, use our contact form and mention “privacy”. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the UK or EU.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
